Recorded April 17th 1997 in Providence, Rhode Island at The Kilgore Smudge rehearsal space.  It was bound to happen sooner or later.....but when it did we never expected it to sound quite like this.  The earth-mover, ground shaker, de-railed freight train sound of Providence's own Kilgore Smudge, combined with the sheer brutality of Nothingface.   (Who many may remember as Kilgore from Ozzfest 1998)  It was the supercharged, blown-hemi, nitrous-rigged fuckin' running-on-propain bored & stroked Rock power plant collaboration known as "BIG Rock'N' Roll."  Not just "Rock'N 'Roll," this was the Vegas lit sign: "BIG Rock'N'Roll."  I recently had a chance to ask my friend Jay Berndt (The singer of Kilgore) about this historical recording and here's what he had to say:

"We played at the Strand in Prov. either the day before or the day after. I can't remember. We had been friends with Nothingface since 95'or early 96'. We use to
have the same manager in those days and became friends quickly. The Kilgore/Nothingface song collaboration came about I think in 97'. We did a tour with Tree/Kilgore/Nothingface and Stillsuit on the east coast. Maybe two weeks. After any Providence and Boston shows we did together, the boys would always stay at my house, where Kilgore also practiced. On that night we jammed about 3 hours worth of Led
Zeppelin covers, which I wished I recorded. After going through I,II,III,IV, and Houses of the Holy, I said enough, let's write something. I think Tom came up with the verse riff and Mikey P. (Guitars for Kilgore) and I came up with the Chorus. We jammed it twice and recorded live PZM Mics straight to DAT. No other songs were written that night and unfortunately no other recordings exist.  We had the crazy idea of both bands recording versions of it and releasing it on "***A Search for***.." and "An Audio
Guide.." but that was just High ideas. Great guys..."

A huge thanks to Shane @ DSV for letting me know this recording actually existed.
